At Trevorrick Farm, guests have exclusive access to a seasonal indoor swimming pool, heated for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment. For the grown-ups, there are three charming cottages equipped with hot tubs for pure relaxation, kids over eight years old can also use them.
The farm’s active and bustling nature offers loads of opportunities for children to engage with an lots of friendly animals. Kids can meet and greet guinea pigs, pet ducks, miniature Shetland ponies, Kune Kune pigs, a small herd of Dexter cattle, and even friendly sheep on a rope. Families can get hands on with the animals during the five times a week morning feeding and handling time.
Two play areas cater to all ages. The younger kids can explore the large sandpit, small climbing frame, playhouses, and giant combine harvester, perfect for role-playing. Meanwhile, the older kids can enjoy a massive basket swing, climbing frame, and a giant trampoline located on the playing field. Trevorrick Farm also offers ample space for running around, playing games, or simply taking in the fresh air.
In the converted barn, guests can enjoy table football, air hockey, and even a giant doll’s house in the games room. Additionally, the heated swimming pool is open from Easter until the end of October.
Trevorrick Farm’s charming cottages provide all necessary utensils and cookware for families to whip up their own meals. But, after exploring the area, families can indulge in Padstow’s endless selection of restaurants and cafes. One popular spot for families is the nearby Pickwick Inn. Trevorrick Farm ensures that families with young children have a fantastic and memorable stay by providing everything they need for comfort and enjoyment. The cottages are tastefully furnished, providing plush furnishings and comfortable bedding, and can accommodate up to four people. Each cottage is equipped with age-appropriate toys and books to keep children entertained. Moreover, the necessary equipment, such as socket covers, stair gates, baby baths, and potties, is provided to ensure the safety and comfort of young children.
For families who enjoy cooking, the cottages have well-equipped kitchens with full-size electric cookers, fridges with separate freezer compartments, kettles, toasters, microwaves, cafetières, and all the crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and utensils needed. The majority of kitchens are equipped with a blender, steam iron, ironing board, kitchen rolls, washing-up liquid, and dishcloths, so guests can pack light. For relaxation and leisure, some cottages come with private hot tubs which can be used by children over eight.
The living rooms are beautifully furnished with dining tables and chairs, flat-screen digital TVs, and ultra-fast fibre broadband, providing ample space for families to relax and unwind. High chairs and booster seats are available upon request when booking.
The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds, duvets, coordinated covers, sheets, and pillowcases provided, and made up before guests’ arrival. Double bedrooms are furnished with hairdryers, and cots are available free of charge, (bedding not provided). The bathrooms are furnished with modern and high-quality bathroom suites, including baths with thermostatic showers, heated towel rails, and shaver points. Bath and hand towels are provided.
All cottages are fully centrally heated and most have log-burning open fires or wood burners in the living rooms, with the first basket of logs provided free of charge during the winter months. For families with young children, stair gates are provided in the two-storey cottages. Owls Roost has one at the top of the stairs, while Curlew has one at the bottom of the stairs. Additionally, baby equipment such as baby baths, bouncy cradles, pushchairs, back carriers, and more are generally available upon request before the guests’ holiday commences.
For guests who need to do laundry, the Wash House has a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer, while outside there is a rotary clothes drier.
The Atlantic Coast’s clean sandy beaches and stunning coastal footpaths are only a 10 to 15 minute drive away. Moreover, cultural day trips to country houses and gardens at Lanhydrock and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are perfect for families looking to explore the beauty of rural Cornwall. From Trevorrick, guests can take a 45-minute walk to Padstow (about 2.25 miles), crossing farmland and onto the Camel Trail. For a fun treat, Crealys Adventure Theme Park is just a 10-minute drive away. Guests can also cycle directly onto the Camel Trail along the quiet lanes, then head towards Padstow or Wadebridge.
