Activities

Treworgey offers a wide range of exciting, family-friendly activities for guests. You can take a short walk through fields or drive down the lane for five minutes to experience farm life. You can try animal feeding, take a dip in the heated outdoor pool, indulge in treatments, explore the impressive playground, play on the outdoor tennis court, take a horse riding lesson, and/or get the children to participate in one of the three different kids’ clubs offered during the summer season.

The outdoor pool is heated to 28°C/83°F+ and is usually open from May to September, weather permitting. It sits in a spectacular setting with views down the valley towards the Looe River and is a sheltered and gardened sun trap. There is also a spa pool and sauna.

Every weekday morning, children staying at Treworgey can join the fun and interactive animal feeding activity. They can let out the ducks, hand-feed the goats, feed the Kune Kune pigs and chickens, see the rabbits, and even hold the guinea pigs. It’s a great opportunity for children to interact with animals and learn about their care and feeding.

The licensed riding school at Treworgey offers riding lessons and some hacking through the country lanes around Treworgey.

The sun-trap tennis court overlooks the valley, and rackets and balls can be borrowed from the information room anytime. Near the tennis court is an indoor beach, which is great if you experience some wet weather. This is a big sandy space with an indoor playground featuring a low climbing wall, climbing frame, sand pulley system, sand digger, giant Lego and a net for volleyball or badminton. There is also a soft playroom just for toddlers.

When the sun is out, the outdoor playground is often a gathering place for children. It features a log climbing frame, swing, slide, and ropes, a sandpit with mechanical systems for moving sand and water, a huge basket swing, stepping logs, a climbing wall, and a Wendy House. Parents can watch over youngsters while they chat and enjoy the fantastic view.
